Goose Green Primary joined The Communitas Education Trust in September 2017.  This change means that historic inspection reports do not apply to the school any more and that the school does not currently have an Ofsted judgement against it.

The school was visited by inspectors from the office of the Regional Schools’ Commissioner in March 2018 and their report shows a rapidly improving picture.  They said that their visit "provided reassurance that there has been a range of improvements at the school over the last eight months, with effective leadership of the newly established leadership team having a clear impact in changing the culture of the school. The right priorities have been identified, revised systems and structures have been implemented and are having an impact on teaching, learning and provision. In-school data shows improved progress over the course of the current year, and predictions are for overall attainment at the end of KS2 to be broadly in line with national averages for 2018."

Next steps identified for us were that "the school should continue to develop, implement and embed its recently introduced school improvement processes, including aspects such as: improving teaching, learning and behaviour; assessment processes; SEND provision; roles of senior and middle leaders; and working with governors."

We expect to be inspected by Ofsted during the 2019-20 academic year.

Parent View

Parent View gives you the chance to tell Ofsted what you think about Goose Green Primary and Nursery School.

The questionnaire is also the main mechanism for you to give your views about the school to inspectors at the time of a school inspection.

Parent View asks for your opinion on 12 aspects of your child’s school, from the quality of teaching, to dealing with bullying and poor behaviour.

To register on the Parent View website, you must initially enter an email address, and confirm that you are a parent or carer. You will also be asked to clarify how many schools your children attend (allowing for different children at different schools). An email is then sent to the specified email address to verify the account. On verification you are prompted to select a secure password for your account.

Registered users can sign up to receive an email when the results for a specific provider become publicly available and, after this, when a response is completed.

You can find out more on the Parent View website.
