The Goose Green Community Walking Bus

Our Walking Bus is now up and running!  We launched it on Clean Air Day on Thursday 20th June with our MP Helen Hayes and Southwark Councillor for the Environment Richard Livingstone.  Almost 30 children enjoyed the walk to school, catching the sunshine and chatting with their friends.  This helps us to reduce the amount of traffic at school drop-off and helps us all get a little bit of exercise.  Passengers on our first bus enjoyed the prize badges, stickers and water bottles, and helped us to name our mascot.  Meet Buddy, the Goose Green Walking Bus Bear!

The bus will run every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.  Join us from the start at the Albrighton Centre at 8:15 or hop aboard at your local "bus stop" (see the link below for details of the route and the stops). If you enjoy walking to school with your buddies (and improving safety, air quality and well-being at the same time), feel free to sign up for free on a regular basis.  Ask at the school office for details.
